Wayne J. Ashline

Wayne J. Ashline, 83, of Waterhouse St., passed away, surrounded by his family, Sunday February 2, 2020 at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh on November 1, 1936 son of the late Ernest and Ola (Mayo) Ashline.
Wayne graduated from Plattsburgh High School. He served his country in the US Army from 1956-1959. Wayne worked for the city of Plattsburgh for many years retiring in 2002. He then worked the last 17 years as a driver for Clinton County Rural Transportation, making many friends along the way. Wayne was an avid New York Yankee and New York Giants fan. In his free time, Wayne enjoyed reading, crosswords, and spending time with family and friends.
Wayne is survived by his wife the former Sharon Primard of Plattsburgh, his children; Jon Ashline and his wife Jenn of Plattsburgh, Todd Prinsen and his wife Kari of Mooers, Tori Prinsen and her companion Joe Willette of Plattsburgh, one sister; Gail Taylor of Cadyville, Grandchildren; Madelyn, Jennifer, Wayne, Chad, Jamie, Winter, great grandchildren; Aiden, Onna, Chad, Jr., James, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
