April 25, 1963 — June 15, 2015

TRACEY JANE HOWARD (KYEA) of Plattsburgh, passed peacefully into the Arms of the Lord on Monday, June 15, 2015 after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the young age of 52 surrounded by her loving family at CVPH Medical Center.
Tracey, the oldest daughter of Gary L. Howard and Josephine A. (Brelia) Howard was born on April 25, 1963. She graduated from Peru Central School, the Class of 1982. She enjoyed spending time with her three (3) sons and family. Tracey had a sense of humor that was very quick and you had to appreciate her for never letting that part of her go even during her worst days.
Tracey is survived by her three (3) sons, Randy Joseph LaBombard of Keeseville, Brian Michael LaBombard of Tupper Lake, and Robert Howard LaBombard of Plattsburgh, she is also survived by her parents, Gary L. and Josephine A. Howard of Peru, her sister, Mary Jo Howard Cassidy of Plattsburgh, her nephews, Daniel of North Dinwiddie, VA and Nickolas of Boston, MA, her Uncle Peter and Aunt Joanne Brelia of Greensboro, MD and Aunt Lucille Parsons of Peru, many cousins and her beloved basset hound, Gizmo, whom she loved and cherished dearly.
Tracey was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Hartwell and Gertrude Brelia, paternal grandparents, Robert Howard and Mary Murphy Howard Strong and her step-grandfather, Horton Strong, her maternal Uncle Johnny Parsons, Aunt Mary and Uncle Roswell LaBounty, Uncle Oliver and Aunt Blanche Soulia, Uncle Sheridan and Aunt Grace Soulia and her paternal Uncle William “Bill” and Aunt Kathy Howard.
The family would like to thank Tracey’s friends, Tracy Collins, for her daily visits with Tracey during her breaks while Tracey was hospitalized at St. Peter’s Hospital and Jill Gregg Peacock for all of the phone calls and visits to keep her spirits up. These friends were classmates from grade school through high school of Tracey’s.
The family would also like to thank all of the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital and The Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s for all of their outstanding care for Tracey over the past 3 months. Also, the staff on R5 at CVPH for their wonderful and remarkable care of Tracey during her short stay.
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday July 2, 2015 from St. Augustine’s Church in Peru. Burial will immediately follow in St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh.
