Sue Ann (Vanderbogart) Croney, 62, formerly of Ellenburg Center, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont where she had been a patient since March 20, 2025. Sue was born on May 25, 1962, the fourth daughter of Floyd and Mildred Vanderbogart in Plattsburgh, NY.
She is survived by her son, Tyler Croney of DeBary, FL; her longtime companion Neil Chauvin of West Chazy; four brothers, Roy, Charles (Jeanne), Floyd (Holly Conklin), and Kevin; three sisters, Kathleen (Dave Dresser), Dorothy and Bob Severance, and Deborah; one aunt, Marge Myers of Malone; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by Neil's family who always were loving, kind and supportive to her.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sister-in-law Joy Vanderbogart, and by Neil's mother Lita Bechard Chauvin, who she was very close to.
Sue fought a ten year battle with breast cancer, leukemia, having a stem cell transplant in 2023, and all the vast side effects from that. Sue is now pain free and meeting up with family in heaven.
A Graveside Service will be held on June 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Ellenburg Center.
Services were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
