Sophie M. Bosley, 97 of Meadowbrook Nursing Home and formerly of Keene Valley Neighborhood House passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2019 at CVPH Medical Center of Plattsburgh following an extended illness. She was born February 24, 1922 in Saranac, NY to Frank and Mary Plumadore.
Sophie moved to San Diego, CA where lived for a few years. She returned to New York where she meant and married the love of her life Maurice J. Bosely in June of 1949. They made their home in Plattsburgh were Sophie worked for J. J. New Berry and Montgomery Wards before moving to Rhinebeck NY until 1978. They then followed their dream to move to a warmer climate and made their home in Cape Canaveral, FL until Maurice’s passing in December 1990. Sophie then returned to her home town of Saranac, NY to be with her family.
Sophie was predeceased by her parents, her husband, four brothers and their wives; Victor (Barbara) Plumadore, Charles (Adah) Plumadore, Howard (Hilda) Plumadore, and Curtis (Rose) Plumadore. Two sisters and their husbands; Eva (Ernest) Roberts and Eleanor (Emery) Ezero.
She is survived by her sisters Jeanette Taylor of Davenport, FL and Ella (Howard) Murcray of Harkness; her loving niece Tammy (Kenneth) Waldron of Saranac; very dear friend Joyce Cater of Plattsburgh, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Family and friends may gather Friday November 29, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Church of the Assumption in Redford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery in the spring.
