Sharra L. Parnaby, 63, of Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 at UVM Health Network CVPH in Plattsburgh. Born to the late Albert and Jean Stranahan, her memory will be carried on through the hearts of her family and friends.
A loving and nurturing mother, she will live on through her two sons. She worked endlessly to ensure a great life for them and succeeded ten fold. Through her lessons in empathy and hard work, she was truly proud of the men her boys have become.
A selfless nurse of 40+ years and a role model in compassion, she spent much of her life helping others in the community. Often working multiple jobs and long shifts into the night, always willing to sacrifice to make sure the needs of others were met. She will be greatly missed by her colleagues and patients.
A friend of many, her humor and quick wit was infectious. Whether a strong shoulder to confide in or a familiar face to share a glass of wine with, all whom shared time with Sharra should feel truly blessed to have been in company with such an amazing woman. She will be truly missed by her wonderful friends.
There will be a private gathering in the near future to celebrate her life. Friends and family are welcome to attend and will be contacted with final details.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh NY.
