With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Sharon E. Willette, 74, of Plattsburgh, NY. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and only grandson on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at UVM Health Network CVPH in Plattsburgh. She was born on July 3, 1945 and grew up in Champlain, New York. Although Sharon left Champlain, her heart remained there.
Sharon was pre-deceased by her father, Theodore Hinerth, mother, Catherine (Jarvis) Rabideau, her brother, Theodore Hinerth, Jr., sister, Patricia Underwood and sister, Elaine Garrow.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Sue Rebideau and Michelle Collings and their spouses, Lance Rebideau and John Collings. One grandson, Brandon Collings and many nieces and nephews.
Sharon was employed at Wyeth Ayerst for 37 and a half years and retired in 2000. In her retirement, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being on the Great Chazy River whenever she could. She had a passion for the outdoors and the wilderness. When not hunting and fishing she could be found watching Jeopardy, Antiques Roadshow and Judge Judyor sitting on her screened in porch doing her daily crossword puzzle. Sharon was a die-hard New York Giants fan all her life. for better or for worse. Some of our favorite memories were spent in her basement cheering on the Giants!
Sharon was a good friend to many and had many friends that she stayed close to throughout most of her life. Albeit her family small, she was an amazing, devoted mother and was most proud of her two daughters Sue and Michelle and their families.
Calling hours/celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Heald Funeral Home on 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh, New York.
A graveside service will be held the following day, Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Champlain, New York at 11:00am.
