Selwyn G. “Pete” Palmer, Jr., 52 of 3 Eagle Lane in Westport, passed away Wednesday February 24, 2021 at UVM Health Network Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Elizabethown. He was born in Elizabethtown on January 31, 1969 son of Selwyn G. “Skip” Palmer, Sr. and Mary C. Stevenson.
Pete was all about his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, boating, clam bakes, BBQs and road trips to nowhere. Pete worked for NYS DOT in Keene for 3 years. He delivered fuel for Countryside and was self employed (Palmer Heating and Plumbing in Westport).
Pete is survived by his mother Mary Coonrod Palmer Stevenson and his step father Richard Stevenson of Westport, his wife Heidi (Thornton) Palmer of Westport, his son Selwyn Kaleb Palmer of Westport, his sister Misty Murcray and her husband David of Lewis, his niece and nephew, Tabitha Murcray and fiancé Chris Nichols , David C. Murcray and partner Kaylee Hagey, great nephew Sawyer Nichols, several aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his father Selwyn G. “Skip” Palmer.
At Pete’s request services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Donations in Pete's memory may be made to Westport Ambulance squad or High Peaks Hospice.
