Sandra Staley-Rock

Sandra L. Staley-Rock, 68, of Honey Drive in Plattsburgh, passed away on September 19, 2023 at UVM Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Morrisonville, NY on May 19th, 1955 to Richard (Dick) Staley and Edith (Johnson) Staley.

At a young age, Sandra worked 19 years as a carhop waitress and manager for Clare & Carl's in Plattsburgh, NY, however, her one true passion was working with numbers and being a certified tax preparer.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving and dedicated husband of 50 years, Raney F. Rock of Plattsburgh, NY. Her five children, Farrah Goff (Matthew) of Morrisonville, NY, Renee Rock (Kathie) of Plattsburgh, NY, Ashlee Maulding (Christopher) of Plattsburgh, NY, Raney Rock II (Tom Butler) of Orlando, FL, and Shelby Parent (Patrick) of Champlain, NY. Also left to cherish her memory are her brothers Richard A. Staley (Evelyn), Wayne Staley (Meredith), Randal Staley Sr. (Carol), Alden Staley (April), and sister Bonnie Staley-Boyea.

While on this earth, Sandra was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Nathan Langdon of Altona, NY, Dylan Dumas of West Chazy, NY, Landon, Parker, and Penelope Maulding of Plattsburgh, NY, Brysen & Benjamin Rock of Champlain, NY, and Baylee Parent of Champlain, NY. In addition, she also was blessed with three great-grandchildren: Payton Dumas of Plattsburgh, NY, Makenna Langdon of Altona, NY, and Kason Langdon of Altona, NY.

Sandra was predeceased by her father Richard (Dick) Staley and her mother Edith (Johnson) Staley; her three brothers Earl James, Kirby, and Laverne Staley; her stepson Herbie Rock; her granddaughter Alexandra Langdon; and her beloved pet pitbull Edwin Thor.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Heidrick Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Kevin McEwan on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, 114 Cornelia, Plattsburgh, NY, with interment to follow at St. Mary's of the Lake Cemetery in Cumberland Head.
