Roger A. Crowningshield, 73, of Willsboro passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born December 6, 1946 the son of Leroy Sr. and Rose Crowningshield.
He graduated from Willsboro Central School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970 as a medic where he earned a purple heart. He was a member of the Willsboro-Reber Fire Department for 57 years and worked for the town of Willsboro for many years until his retirement. Roger was an avid fisherman and hunter. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He is greatly loved and will be missed by many.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 49 years Bonnie, his children, Scott Holland (Laura), April Simpson (Rick), Craig (Becky), Travis (Nancy), grandchildren Codia, Serene, Janelle, Kira, Kyla, Connor, Cayla, and Callee, great grandchildren Carter and Levi, his sister Linda Gerber and brother Leroy Jr., several nieces, nephews and many special friends. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Gary and grandson Cobe.
A private memorial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Willsboro Fire Department.
