Robert M. McMillan, 69, of Nichols road in West Chazy passed away Tuesday April 26, 2016 at UVM Health Network CVPH in Plattsburgh. He was born in Montpelier, VT., September 3, 1946 son of the late Ernest and Ruby (Willey) McMillan.
Robert served in the US Army. He was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and loved camping. Robert was a musician playing in several area bands. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
Robert is survived by his wife Kim McMillan of West Chazy, two daughters Rebecca Hewson and her husband Raymond of Morrisonville, Dorothy Durgan and her wife Angie of Altona, three step children Travis Burgess of West Chazy, Nathan Burgess and his companion Jamie Langdon of Malone, Emily Stickle and her husband Adam of Plattsburgh, four brothers Francis McMillan of Greenfield, Mass., Wendell McMillan of Hartford, VT., Steven McMillan of Florida, Patrick McMillan of Kansas, three sisters Debra Deyo of Altona, Cecile Smail of Florida, Patricia Lucca of California, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother John McMillan, a son Michael McMillan and a grandson Tucker Stickle.
Calling hours will be from 5-8 PM Thursday April 28, 2016 at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A Funeral Service will follow at 8:00 PM in the Heald Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday April 29, 2016 in Sandy knoll Cemetery in Chateauguay.
