Rita M. Guyette, 85, of Carter Court in Plattsburgh, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday June 25, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh February 29, 1928 daughter of the late George and Emma (Rabideau) Perry. Rita worked at Diamond International, Kresge’s Department Store and Angelo’s Baker. She was an avid BINGO player. Rita was known as the “Carrot Cake Lady”. She loved to knit, crochet and cook for her friends. Rita is survived by two daughters; Bev Guyette of Plattsburgh, Nancy Evans of Plattsburgh, two grandchildren; D.J. Evans and his wife Heather of Plattsburgh, Cheri Evans of Plattsburgh, two great grandchildren; Daniel and Brooke Evans, four siblings; Robert Perry and his wife Mary of Plattsburgh, Donald Perry and his wife Carol of Plattsburgh, Lillian St. Denis and her husband Joseph of Port Kent, Theresa Maloy of Plattsburgh. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Rita is predeceased by her husband Albert Guyette and her brothers; Richard Perry, George Perry and Billy Perry. Calling hours will be Thursday June 27, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh. A funeral Service will follow at 7:00 in the Heald Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside service will be celebrated Friday June 28, 2013 at 11:00 Am in St. Augustine’s Cemetery in Peru.
