Richard W. Paquette
July 1, 1934 — May 7, 2015
WESTPORT--Richard W. "Pooch" Paquette, 80, passed away Thursday May 7, 2015,
at the UVM Health Network at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He
was born in St. Albans Vermont on July 1, 1934, the son of Eva H. and
John M. Paquette.
He was predeceased by his wife Rita E. Paquette, his parents, and his
brother Ronald Paquette. He is survived by his daughters Wendy R.
Annette and Trudy A. Perry, his son David A. Paquette, and his
brother Russell Paquette.
He served 13 months with the 7th Infantry Division in Korea. He
served as Westport Town Clerk, Town Councilman, Village Trustee, and
School Board Member. He also owned and operated the Westport Service
Station for 25 years and worked as a courier for the Champlain
National Bank for 19 years.
At his request, there will be no services and burial will be in the
Black River Cemetery at the family's convenience.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Marvin-Heald Funeral Home, 7521 Court Street, Elizabethtown.
