Emblem

After many years of poor health, Reed Alan Gough, 71, found true peace on June 10, 2024. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, John and Ruth Gough, his maternal grandmother and her husband, Ruth and Art Young, his father, Olon Gough, and his mother, Marion Gough.

Reed spent his childhood and most of his adult life in Westport, NY. He parented and later co-parented two daughters with his first wife in Westport, and that is where he spent many years with his second wife and her youngest son before moving to nearby areas.

Reed enjoyed long drives in the Adirondacks while watching for wildlife and mountain views. He was a charismatic conversationalist that was always sharing a story or a joke with family and friends. A night owl, he liked staying up late viewing shows or documentaries that he found thought provoking.

Reed is survived by a wife, Lois Killeen, two daughters and a son-in-law, Rachelle Gough, Brandi Nelson and Andrew Nelson, stepchildren, Amie Budwick, Chad Budwick and Larry Whitaker, a granddaughter, Indigo Nelson, his four siblings, Ruth Hayes, Bruce Gough, Reggie Gough and Kelly Gough and her husband Joe Trinceri, his mother's sister, Jean McCarthy, nieces, Katherine Trinceri and Lauren Gough, and nephews, Derek Hayes, Craig Bullock, Hunter Gough, Cody Gough, Brandon Gough and Taylor Trinceri, along with many great-nieces, great-nephews, and step-grandchildren that touched his life.

Through many of his lifelong struggles, Reed looked to God for guidance and support. May he finally rest easy, free of pain and suffering.
