Rebecca J. Laurin (Perry), 58, formerly of Chazy, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 13th, 2018 in McDonough Georgia. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on January 11th, 1960, daughter of Bernard and Alice ( King) Perry.
Rebecca graduated from Chazy Central Rural School in 1978. She worked for John V. Warren for many years. She also worked at her sister’s diner in Rouses Point for 8 years after, Best Friends Family Diner. She began working at AN Deringers a couple years ago and transferred to McDonough, GA. Becky loved Jimmy Buffet, the color lime green, and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.. She was the life of the party and was always laughing or making people laugh. Becky was predeceased by her father.
Becky has survived by her mother; ex-husband and friend of 25 years, Kevin Laurin of Chazy; Son, Corey Ellis of McDonough,GA; daughter, Jessica Laurin of Chazy and partner Anthony Gilmour; brothers, Bernard Perry Jr. (companion Pamela Blatcher) of Syracuase, NY; Steven Perry (wife Janet) of Chazy; sisters, Gail (husband Steven Bowman); Christine (husband John O’Brien); several nieces and nephews; and many friendships from Chazy, McDonough and places she previously lived.
The family will greet people from 11:00 Am to 12:00 Noon Thursday May 24, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to CVPH Foundation or Elmore SPCA.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
