Raymond W. Plante

Raymond W Plante, 80, passed away peacefully, on October 16, 2017, at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany New York. Ray was born in Manhattan, NY in 1937, Son of the late Raymond A. Plante and Isabelle (Palmero) Plante.
1954-1958, Ray served in the USN on a 2 flat tops, The Roosevelt and Coral Sea. He spent the next 20 years working construction as a Stone Mason/Brick layer in the New York City and Long Island area constructing buildings which still stand today. In 1965 he moved his family to Long Island New York. In 1985 he relocated to Elizabethtown NY, where he lived the rest of his life enjoying his passion for the outdoors and the mountains.
He is predeceased by his wife Doris Genes Plante and survived by his five loving children and their spouses: Donna M. and Pauly Hansen of Toms River NJ, Lynda L. and Richie Garbati, of Virginia Beach, VA, Raymond A. and Judith Plante of Lewis NY, George W. Plante of Las Vegas, NV, Robert M Plante and Lisa Plante of Lewis, NY.
His grandchildren: Jennifer, Kevin, Nicole, Anthony, Tanya, Raymond S., Joshua, Meagan, Valerie, Michelle, RJ, Brandon, Julia; and great grandchildren: Madelyn, Hunter, Wyatt, Roman, Dominic, Gabriel, Cayden, Brielle, Isabella, Dallas, and Harper.
Services will be private at the convenience of the Family.
