Rachel E. Waldron, 76, passed away peacefully November 28, 2017 with her family at her side at CVPH Medical Center. Rachel was born on March 18, 1941 in Keene Valley, NY, the daughter of Gilbert and Emily Jaques.
Rachel married Donald Waldron in 1961 and has been a resident of Clayburg since that time.
Rachel's zest for life was so contagious it inspired anyone in her presence. Everyone who knew Rachel has a funny story to tell.
Rachel's career included 18 years at Saranac Central School, packing apples, and owning and operating "Our Town Video and Diner for 20 years.
Survivors include her mother Emily Jaques of Keene Valley, three daughters Patty Waldron of Clayburg (Ben Burdo), Shelly Waldron of Clayburg, and Amelia Roberson from Roanoke VA. (Clyde Roberson), three grandchildren, Durgan Zappala, (Julie Merritt), Donnie Waldron (Era Waldron) and Garth and Randy Roberson. Two great grandchildren Joseph and Grady.
Rachel is predeceased by her father Gilbert Jaques, her husband Donald Waldron, her long time companion Donald Bishop, her son Robert Waldron, and her grandson Thomas (TJ) Campbell.
Calling hours will be at Healds Funeral Home on Court Street in Plattsburgh on Friday December 1, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00, with a small service to follow. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
