Peggy D. Shambo

Peggy D. Shambo, 86, formerly of Plattsburgh, died Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Essex Centers in Elizabethtown. She was born in Westport, May 11, 1931, the daughter of the late Harlan and Beulah (Daniels) Shambo.
Peg graduated from Willsboro Central School and was employed by Plattsburgh Motor Services for 50+ years until her retirement. She was an animal lover and adopted many dogs throughout the years. An avid bowler, she traveled with her friends to banquets throughout the North Country. Peg had a strong faith and attended Church regularly in Plattsburgh.
Survivors include a Sister-in-law Donna Shambo, several cousins, nephews and nieces. She leaves behind a special great-niece and caregiver, Jennifer MacDougal. Peg was predeceased by her parents, a sister Doris Blanchard, and two brothers Richard Shambo and Roger Shambo.
Calling hours will be held at Heald Funeral Home in Elizabethtown from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 27, 2017. Funeral services will be held immediately following. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
