Paul E. Gibeau, 96, of Honey Drive in Plattsburgh passed away unexpectedly Monday December 17, 2018 at his home. He was born in New York, NY on October 15, 1922 son of the late Eucher and Blanche (Monnette) Gibeau.
Paul served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was proud to be one of the first veterans on the North Country Honor Flight. Paul enjoyed traveling, camping and watching wrestling. He enjoyed telling stories.
Paul is survived by his wife Jean Gibeau, his children; Paulette Heidelmark (Butch), Jeanne Kelley (Tom), Diane Ransom (Greg), Monique Gibeau, Ronald Gibeau, Step children; Linda Poirier (Robert), Dianne Herzig (Dennis), David Kenniston (Pam), Micheline Mills (Paul), Jerry Paynter (Mary Perry), Judy Barber (Jon), twenty four grandchildren and thirty six great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife Therese Gibeau, a daughter Suzanne Gibeau, a grandson Robert Heidelmark, Jr. and a step daughter Peggy Beckwith.
Calling hours will be from 1:00 to3:00 PM Friday December 21, 2018 at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waterford.
In lieu of flowers donations in Paul’s memory may be made to North Country Honor Flight.
