Otis W. Gay, 71, of Willsboro, passed away with his loving family by his side on February 8, 2021. He was born in Elizabethtown on July 11, 1949, the son of Robert and Evelyn (Howard) Gay.
Otis served in the US Army during the Vietnam war and was stationed in Korea. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with his grandchildren and spending the summers with his Magic Pines Camp family.
Otis is survived by his wife, of 53 years, the former Jean Provost, whom he married on October 19th, 1967, his two children, Charlie Gay (Lori Kimball) and Krissy Leerkes and her husband Brad, a sister Eva Cross and her husband Donald (Jr), five grandchildren; Justin Gay, Tracie Gay, Bryce Gay, Peyton Leerkes and Paige Leerkes; two great grandchildren; Parker Gay and Ryan Gay, a very special Sister in Law, Mary Green and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Shawn, his grandson Wesley, his brothers, Charles, Robert, Gordon, and Raymond and a very special nephew, Corey Jaquish.
A spring burial with military honors and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Willsboro Central School Booster Club to support the Golf Team (WCS, 29 School Lane, PO Box 180, Willsboro, NY 12996 – Attn: Jennifer Leibeck). Otis took great pride in his work at the Willsboro Golf Course especially when he knew that the high school teams would be on the course.
