Norman “Beaver” Shappy , 49, of the Mannix Road, Peru, passed away Wednesday November 26, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Willsboro, Nov 7, 1965, the son of the late Donald Shappy Sr. and Helen Mosley.
He worked as a furnace repairman for many years where he met a lot of great people who became great friends.
Beaver enjoyed many things in life but his most favorite thing to do was hunting, he also loved to cook, and spend time with family and friends. Beaver also loved to ride his motorcycle with his brothers; he was a loved member of the UN-EASYRIDER MC.
Beaver is predeceased by his father Donald Shappy Sr.; his sisters, Tammy and Penny, and his brother Mikey Bouvia.
Beaver is survived by His fiancé Samantha Dashnaw; his mother and stepfather Helen and Gervis Macey; his children: Jessica, Jonathan and his companion Megan, Heather and her husband Mark, Chad, and David; his brothers and sisters: Donald Jr., Steven, Shari-Ann, Phyllis, Gail, Deborah, Sylvia, Beverly, Jon, Kenneth; Grandchildren: Dominic, Kristina, Kirsten, Jacob, and Billie Jean; his brothers from The UN-EASYRIDER MC; several nieces, nephews , cousins and many friends. He is also survived by special friends; Chris Reeves, Peggy and Gene Desrocher, and Toby and Tracy Ebersole.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday Dec 2 from 5-7 pm at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh . A Prayer service will follow at 7:00 PM in the Heald Funeral Home Chapel. The celebration of Beaver’s life will follow at the UN-EASYRIDER Clubhouse located at 65 Number 37 Road in Saranac.
