Nancy E. Knapp, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday Feb. 5, 2019 at CVPH in Plattsburgh, NY. She was born on May 28, 1937 in Albany, NY to Leslie Grayson and Juliette (Pusutto) Grayson and sister Rosemarie Grayson who predeceased her in 1942.
Nancy loved to work in her hometown church Saint Paul’s rectory and started so in her teenage years. She loved to serve at any church and did so for many churches throughout her years. She loved to entertain and cook for her family, spaghetti and cheesecake, as she did for so many years with such a large family. She loved sushi, BBQ ribs and old western movies.
Nancy is survived by her children: Teresa, Brian, Kenneth, Donna, David and Lynn; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at United Church of Christ, 7584 Court St, Elizabethtown, NY on Friday Feb. 15 at 5 PM. A burial service will be held at a later date when Nancy is buried at the Albany Rural Cemetery alongside her father, mother and sister. May God bless her kind and gentle soul.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 7521 Court Street, Elizabethtown.
