Michael Strack

Michael Paul Strack, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024, at his home in Plattsburgh, NY. Born on October 1, 1963, in his beloved hometown, Michael was a cherished member of the community, known for his love for fishing and his passion for music - particularly his skillful guitar playing. He found joy in being a taxi driver in Plattsburgh, effortlessly navigating the streets without the need for maps, as he knew every turn and corner by heart.

Michael will forever be remembered for his devotion to his family and the special bond he shared with his grandchildren, whom he considered the light of his life. He leaves behind his loving wife, Deborah Strack, his daughter, Dakotah Ross, and a large extended family, including his siblings Richard (Darlene) Strack, Jon (Cindy) Strack, Corby Strack, Craig (Jen) Strack, and Theresa (Robert) Gray.

A memorable man who touched the lives of many, Michael will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife Deborah, and daughter Dakotah, he is survived by his grandchildren Savanah Rabideau and Scott Lamoy, Keegan Rabideau, Mark Rabideau, Edith Rabideau, Trinitea Rabideau, Abigail David, Americus Rabideau, Jeremiah Deon, and Arthur Deon; and his sister-in-law Kimberly Strack. Tragically, he is preceded in death by his brother Scott.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In our cherished memories, Michael will live on as a beacon of love, strength, and joy, leaving an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he find eternal peace and continue to watch over his beloved family from above.
