Michael O'Neil

In loving memory of Michael Patrick O'Neil, whose lively spirit left this world on July 22, 2024, leaving behind a trail of warm memories and tender moments. Born on August 18, 1961, in Plattsburgh, NY, Michael's presence brought joy and laughter to those around him.

Fondly remembered for his love of social gatherings with friends, filled with delicious food, Mike's eyes sparkled brightest when sharing a meal and good conversation. An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and NY Yankees, he found excitement in watching his favorite teams play, cheering them on with enthusiasm.

Michael had a heart that welcomed everyone with open arms, believing in the kindness of each soul he encountered. He found comfort and joy in the company of his Mountain Lake Services family and providers, who became his second home and brought him a great deal of happiness.

He was predeceased by his father James O'Neil; and his grandpa and nana, James and Dorothy O'Neil.

He is survived by his beloved mother Judith Lambert; his siblings Kevin (Darlene) O'Neil, Dennis (Cindy) O'Neil, Pete (Cher) O'Neil, Sheila (Ron) Garrant, and Sherrie (John) Summerhill; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Heidrick Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh. Interment will be private at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

Donations in Mike's name are kindly requested in lieu of flowers to Mountain Lake Services Foundation, 10 St. Patrick's Place, Port Henry, NY 12974.

Mike's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of the Mountain Lake Services providers and staff, you were all like family to him.
