With profound sorrow, we remember the remarkable life of Michael Osborne Morris, who peacefully departed on July 20th, 2023, at 87, surrounded by his cherished wife of 67 years, Carol (Borden), and their loving family in their Elizabethtown, NY home. Michael was an exceptional husband, father, successful business owner, and beloved friend.
Michael and Carol married in 1956, establishing a loving home in Elizabethtown where they built enduring memories. His unwavering commitment to integrity and ethical conduct paved the way for his thriving business, Michael O. Morris & Sons Plumbing and Heating.
Michael's passions included harmonious singing, antique cars (particularly 1940 Fords), and the construction of a cherished camp on Lake Champlain in 1973. He radiated warmth, honesty, and boundless love, touching the lives of all he encountered.
Survived by his adoring wife and four children: Michael (Wendy), Ben (JoAnn), Mark (Elaine), and Matt (Shari); ten grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, Michael's legacy lives on in our hearts.
Calling hours will be held on July 28th at The United Congregational Church, Elizabethtown, from 10am-11am, followed by a funeral service and celebration-of-life gathering.
