Mr. Michael H. McGarr, 49 of South Peru Street Plattsburgh NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at his home.
He was born in Plattsburgh on December 26, 1966 the Son of the late Francis and Sylvia (Reeves) McGarr. He was employed over the years as a security guard for Burns and Pinkerton Security. He was a correction officer for Clinton County Jail for a period of time. He was also a certified EMT.
Michael was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Julie Mary McGarr, who passed away shortly after birth.
He is survived by a sister, Wendy Bezio and her husband David of Plattsburgh, NY. A nephew, Jason Bezio and his wife, Kirsten and their children, Benjamin, Samuel and Charlotte of Plattsburgh, NY, a niece, Kimberly Kinblom and her husband, Trevor and their daughter, Ellie of Morrisonville, NY. He is also survived by an uncle, Ross McGarr and his wife, Connie of Leesburg, Florida and several cousins also survive him.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Peters Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
