PLATTSBURGH- Michael F. Loughan, 70, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center.
He was born in Plattsburgh Sept. 1, 1944, son of the late Francis E. and Elizabeth M. (Falvey) Loughan.
Michael was a 1963 graduate of St. John’s Academy and attended SUNY Plattsburgh. He retired from the City of Plattsburgh Fire Department. Michael was a member of the Plattsburgh Moose Lodge #2390, the American Legion Post 20, and was a 30 year member of the Sabattis Round Lake Hunting Club. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting and fishing, and especially spending time at the family camp on Pt. au Fer.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia L. (Tupper) Loughan; sons and their wives, Scott and Laurie Loughan of Beekmantown and Matthew and Kelli Loughan of Plattsburgh; grandsons , Riley, Sullivan and Brady; his brother and his wife, Thomas and Patricia Loughan of Plattsburgh; as well as several cousins and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4-6pm on Thursday, Dec. 11 at the Heald Funeral Home, Court St., Plattsburgh.
