Mark Carney

Mark Carney, 63, of Durrand Road in Beekmantown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday November 5, 2017 at his home. He was born in Jersey City, NJ on January 27, 1954 son of Harold and Gloria (Glean) Carney.
Mark graduated with a teaching degree from St. Bonaventure University and retired after teaching 8th and 5th grades in Long Valley, New Jersey. Mark enjoyed gardening, going to the beach and spending time with his grandkids. ‘Grampy Mark’ was loved dearly by all kids that met him.
He is survived by his father, Harold, sister (Karen Carney), fiancé Beverly Parker and family. Grandchildren: Rhonnie, Gabe, Kellen, Dorian, Rhilynn, Rhory, and Keira and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Gloria.
Calling hours will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday November 8, 2017 at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christina Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday November 9, 2017 at St. Johns Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be private.
