Marion Gough

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch Marion Gough. She was born in Albany on November 28, 1927 and grew up in Cheever, NY. She moved to Westport with her husband in 1947 and raised five children there.

She passed from this earth on January 20, 2024 in her own home under the care of her children.

Marion was a good friend to animals, both wild and domestic. Her yard was frequented by a myriad of wildlife where she provided a safe haven for them to rest and have a meal. She loved children and they loved her. She cared for many children during her 96 years and she will be remembered fondly by all of them.

Marion is predeceased by her mother Ruth M. Young; step-father Arthur Young; and her close cousin Audrey Mazotti.

Marion is survived by her sister Jean McCarthy; her children, Ruth Hayes, Bruce Gough, Reed Gough, Reginald Gough, and Kelly Gough and her husband Joseph Trinceri; her grandchildren Derek Hayes, Hunter Gough, Cody Gough, Rachelle Gough, Brandi Nelson, Lauren Gough, Brandon Gough, Taylor Trinceri, and Katherine Trinceri; as well as 16 great-grandchildren.

INTERMENT ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 20, 2024 HAS BEEN POSTPONED AND WILL BE ANNOUNCED ONCE FINALIZED.
