Marion L. Bacon, 85, of Plattsburgh N.Y. and Daytona Beach, FL, wife of the love of her life the late John M. Bacon, passed away Friday July 9, 2021 at home under the care of Hospice with her family by her side. Born in Altona, N.Y. on August 16, 1935, Marion was the daughter of the late Donald J and Leona D. (Macey) Jarvis. She graduated from Altona High School.
Marion was well known as an avid seamstress. To aid in the fight against Covid-19 in 2020, she made 1500 masks and donated them to individuals, The Fitzpatrick Cancer Center, doctors offices and the like. She also loved to cook and bake to share with family and friends. Marion had worked at Ronnie's Michigans in mid 70's thru to early 80's. She took many trips with the then owner, Ronnie Jetty.
Marion loved to travel. She visited 29 countries and all the Hawaiian Islands. She was an active member of several organizations including Auxiliaries, 501 P.I.R.A., 101st Airborne Division and enjoyed going to the Paratrooper reunions, as recently as April 2021 where she was the recipient of a certificate from the chapter. Marion also enjoyed playing BINGO and going to the casinos.
Marion is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Smart) Bruno, two grandsons and their significant others Jason Bruno (Krista Connelly), and Travis Bruno(Billie Jo Branham), her siblings Ella (Don-D) Lucia, Lucy (Leonard-D) LaValley, Bernice (Edward) Dwight-Mulvihill, Exzina (Robert) Perry, Pauline (Carlton-D) Rabideau, Francis (Elaine) Jarvis and Nancy (Everest) Small. She was also blessed with several nieces/nephews and many dear friends. Marion was predeceased by siblings Donald (JoAnne) Jarvis, Anna Mae (Franklin-D) Hoffman, Gerald (Joan) Jarvis and Lester (Madora) Jarvis.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday July 21 2021, at Holy angels Cemetery in Altona, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to 101st Airborne Division, 501 P.I.R.A., Fitzpatrick Cancer Center, Hospice or her family.
