PLATTSBURGH — Marie Lashway, 85, of Plattsburgh and formerly of Standish, passed away peacefully, Thursday Nov. 29, 2012, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Saranac on May 14, 1927, daughter of the late Mose and Mabel (Rascoe) Drollette.
Marie married Bernard A. Lashway Feb. 20, 1950. She was a wife, Mother, Home Maker and worked as a cleaning lady until her retirement in 1989.
Marie is survived by three children, Bernard Lashway Jr. and his wife Kathy of Mooers, Stella Colgan and her husband Michael of Scotia, Stanley Lashway and his wife Candie of Mooers; five sisters, Veronica Barber of Cadyville, Rita Drollette of Plattsburgh, Shirley Bruce of Saranac, Linda Drollette of Saranac, Eliza Castine and her husband Bobby of Chazy; two brothers, Howard Drollette of Saranac, Charles Drollette of Rochester; one sister-in-law, Betty King of Standish; three grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Marie is predeceased by her parents; her husband Bernard; two sister, Roalie Magoon, Joan St. Cyr; one brother, Edward Drollette. She is also predeceased by several brothers and sisters in law; Prosper Barber, Gerald Magoon, Carl Bruce, Paul St. Cyr, Marie Bionkiene Drollette, Roswell Bob and Helen Lashway, Maynard Lashway, Edward Bucky Lashway, Eleanor and Clarence Miller, Anna and Israel Dubrey, Theresa and Raymond LaDuke and Fred King.
There will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Monday, Dec. 3, from St. Josephs Church in Dannemora.Burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie's memory may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation.
