Lucille (LeClair) Carter

Lucille (LeClair) Carter 86 formerly of Dannemora, passed away at CVPH July 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 3, 1931 in Ellenberg NY, daughter of the late Florence (Burgoyne) and Raymond LeClair.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Robert H Carter, brothers, Robert LeClair and Donald LeClair, sisters, Marie Rascoe and Anne Gromoski, her sons, Alan Carter and Timothy Carter, and grandson Michael Carter. She is survived by her sister, Janet Uhler of Plattsburgh, her brother and sisters-in-law Francis and Mary (Wilson) Carter of Saranac, Gloria Carter of Altmar, NY, and Margaret LeClair of Saranac, NY. Her children; Robert and Nancy (Herron) Carter of Kent, Ohio, Richard and Nancy (Thomas) Carter of Danielson CT, Frederic and Louise (Carter) Fogg of Garner, NC, WIlliam and Darlene (Carter) Liberty of Plattsburgh, NY, Diane Carter and fiancée Michael Yasment of Plattsburgh NY also 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
Lucille enjoyed playing pinochle and was an avid lover of birds and flowers. She enjoyed being with her family and organizing functions for friends and family. She was often known for dressing up at Halloween.
Services will be held July 20, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. Calling hours will be from 10am - 12pm, followed immediately by a mass of Christian burial in St Joseph’s Church cemertery.
