Linda L. McCasland, 78, of Plattsburgh passed away Sunday July 4, 2021 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburg on March 25, 1943 daughter of the late Leon and Dorothy (Rabideau) LaDuke.
Linda graduated from Lyon Mountain High School and continued her education at Our Lady of Victory Secretarial School in Plattsburgh. She worked for NYSDOC in various positions retiring in 2001. Linda enjoyed being around her large and extended family, especially hosting family gatherings. She liked BINGO and going to the casino. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her companion of many years, Arthur Carter of Plattsburgh, four sons and their spouses; Jeff McCasland and his wife Becky of Morrisonville, Scott McCasland and his wife Mary Beth of Utica, Todd McCasland and his wife Lori of Queensbury, Craig McCasland of Plattsburgh, nine grandchildren; Amy, Katie, Matthew, Brittney, Hannah, Jakob, Ben, Emma and Grace, six great grandchildren; Anna, Ellie, Brennan, Becka, Maverick and Jaxx. She is also survived by several cousins. Linda is predeceased by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will receive guests from 11: Am to 12:00 Noon Thursday July 8, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens, Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
