Kenneth J. “Ken” Benway, 88, of Joe Rivers Lane, passed away, with his loving family by his side Friday November 13, 2020. He was born in Swanton, VT., March 20, 1932 son of the late Kenneth M. and Angela (Bruso) Benway.
Ken served in the US Army during the Korean War. He had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed animals, working in his garden and working with his machinery. Ken loved being around his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and being at camp with the Trout Pond Trotters.
Ken is survived by his wife, of 68 years, the former Patricia Jaquish whom he married August 23, 1952, three children; Steven Benway and his wife Connie, Timothy Benway and his wife Tammy, Vanessa Hathaway and her husband Spencer, a brother James Benway and his wife Shirley, grandchildren; Miranda Laferriere, Adam Hathaway, Jacque Roberts, Jessie Morgan, Kami Phinney, Jennifer Ally, Chad Benway, Daphne Ferris, T.J. Benway, fifteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son John Benway, his sisters Rosanna, Joyce and Joan and brothers Gerald, Francis, and Thomas.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
