Joyce Mae Trombley, 86 of Maryland Road in Plattsburgh NY passed away after a long battle with kidney dialysis on October 26, 2024 at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital. She was born on July 20, 1938 to Raymond R. Everleth, Sr. and Antoinette (Kate) Roland Guimond Everleth.
Joyce graduated from Plattsburgh High School. She married James F. Trombley on December 26, 1959. James was in the USAF and they traveled the world until he retired in 1980. They did eventually move back to the North Country in 2003. Joyce was a very compassionate person who was very involved with her community when she was younger. Her battle with Kidney Failure lasted fifteen years. Her strength and her faith never waivered.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Raymond R. Everleth Jr.
Joyce is survived by her children James F. Trombley, Jr. married to Arlene Smith Trombley, Joanne R. Trombley Durham, June A. Trombley, John R. Trombley. Joyce has eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Clark R. Everleth married to Kathleen Everleth; brother-in-law Patrick Trombley; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville, NY on Friday, November 8, 2024 with a visiting hour starting at 11:00 and Mass at 12:00. The burial will follow at Rand Hill Rd Cemetery in Morrisonville NY. A reception will then follow at 17 Maryland Rd in Plattsburgh NY.
Services were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
