Joseph H. Test, Jr., 78, of Country Garden Apartments, passed away with his loving family by his side, Sunday July 14, 2013 at his home under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Saranac Lake on October 17, 1934 son of the late Joseph and Minnie (LaMountain) Test, Sr.. Joseph attended school in Bristol, CT. and in Clintonville. He moved to Keeseville, where he enlisted in the US Air Force as an Airman First Class. He returned to the area after his service and worked for the Pokomoonshine Fire Tower, Port Douglas Fuel Storage and General Electric in Schenectady as a Shift Supervisor. Joseph started operated his own logging business. He then owned and operated Renuit Auto Conditioning providing services to many area Automobile dealerships including Adirondack Auto in Elizabethtown for over twenty years. He retired in 1970 due to failing health. Joseph is survived by his wife and best friend Sandra Stewart Rock Test of Keeseville, two daughters; Sheila (Thomas)Horton of California, Cindy (Jim) Carter of Georgia, one son Ricky Test of Vermont, two step children; Craig (Julie) Rock of Peru, Rhonda (Chris) Gardner of Minnesota, one sister Catherine Baldwin of Clintonvillle, seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife Shirley Finnegan, his son Frank Joseph test and a step son, Mark Rock. Calling hours will be Wednesday July 17, 2013 from 7 to 9 PM at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday July 18, 2013 at 12:00 Noon from St. Johns Church in Keeseville. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Keeseville Rescue Squad or Fitzpatrick Cancer Center at CVPH.
