John "Curly" Castine, a beloved member of the Champlain community and a dedicated dairy farmer, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023, at the age of 79. Curly, as he was affectionately known, was born on February 25, 1944, in Plattsburgh, NY.
Curly's life revolved around his passion for farming and his love for the Boston Red Sox. He dedicated his time and energy to tending to his beloved dairy farm, where his hard work and perseverance earned him the respect of his fellow farmers and the community.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Roberts, with whom he shared many years of happiness and cherished memories. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his stepdaughters Angela, Holly, Carmen (Ron), and Crystal (Bruce). Curly will forever be remembered by his brothers Gerald (Lorraine) and Ken (Kaping).
Curly is reunited in heaven with his parents, William and Isabel, and his siblings Bobby, Billy, Daniel, Donald (Georgiana), Francis (Beatrice), Harold, Stanley (Linda), Wayne, Wendell (Emily), Carol, Peggy, Gloria (Gerald) Hart, and Donna Castine.
He will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His warm smile, kind spirit, and love for his family and community will forever be etched in our hearts.
In accordance with his wishes there will be no services.
