Joan LaPierre

est Chazy - Mrs. Joan LaPierre, 83, of Cemetery Street, West Chazy, passed away Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, with her family by her side.
She was born in Altona on February 9th, 1939. Daughter of the late Hilbert & Ruth LaPierre.
Joan retired from GSA at the Champlain border where she worked for many decades. She was a past member of the Northern Lights square dance club.
Joan is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Bushey & Bonnie Bond & two grandchildrens, Mandy Bushey & Shane Bushey & his wife Tina Bushey of Plattsburgh as well as six great-grandchildren, Kaylee Blaise, Kagen Lacey, Zoey Bushey, Kendra Bushey and her significant other Michael Hilliker, Shaylene Laramie & Damien Laramie. One brother, Sheldon LaPierre of West Chazy. One sister-in-law, Linda Couture (LaPierre) & three brother-in-laws, Robert LaPierre, Loyal LaPierre & his wife. Arnold LaPierre & his wife Carol LaPierre. Many nieces and nephews that she cherished dearly, including but not limited to, Brenda Dickerson-Brown & her son David, Rolly & Erin Dickerson & their three children Annie, Bobby and Jillian, Cindy & Brian Rabideau & their two children Emily & Briana, Jodie, Shelly & Joey Miller, Toby & Tod LaPierre & children, as well as Jeannie Meyer & Lori Whalen.
She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence LaPierre, a sister, Shirley Dickerson & her husband Nelson Dickerson. One brother, James LaPierre & his wife Shelia LaPierre.
