Janet K. Trask

Janet K Trask, 77, of Plattsburgh died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, December 31st surrounded by family and love at the UVM Health Network CVPH Campus. Janet was born on Friday, March 5, 1937 in Plattsburgh. Her parents James E. and Ruth Lawliss Kelley of West Chazy and brothers Carlton and John precede her in death.
Janet was full of life, always had a smile on her face and prompted smiles and happiness wherever she went. During her life she worked as a paralegal for over twenty years before embarking on a career in hotel and RV park management. She returned to the North Country in 2007 to be closer to her family, and enjoyed reading, visiting with relatives and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her loving husband Donald P. Trask survives her along with their five children; Donna M. Deck and her husband Lawrence of Derry NH, Donald J. Trask of Plattsburgh, Stephen R. Trask Sr. and his wife Patti of Lancaster PA, Gloria J. Dever and her husband Alex of Hagerstown MD and Daniel K. Trask and his wife Christy of Plattsburgh. Janet is also survived by her sisters Geraldine Trombley and her husband Bernard, and Elizabeth Kelley, and brother Thomas Kelley and his wife Jeanne, all of West Chazy and sister-in-law Joyce Kelley of Chazy. She was a loving Grandmother to eleven and a Great-Grandmother to eleven.
A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday January 6, 2015, 11:00 am at Saint Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville.
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers a charitable donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital be made in her name.
