Janet-Lee Murray, 69 years of age passed away the morning of Friday August 28, 2020.
Janet-Lee was born in Lynchburg, VA on April 13, 1951. The daughter of Frank Murray Sr. and Helen Murray. She was a devout Christian always thinking of others' needs before her own. She was an Educator for the Thomaston, CT school district for many years. Janet-Lee also had a strong love of music and the piano.
Janet-Lee loved her family, leaving behind her brother Frank Murray Jr., his wife Jill Murray and their families. She had three children with Robert Allensworth: Jonathan Allensworth, who married Lauren Allensworth, Benjamin Allensworth, who married Mandy Haltrecht and Timothy Allensworth, who married Samantha Allensworth. Janet-Lee also leaves behind six grandchildren that she greatly adored: Emily Allensworth, Timothy Allensworth, Anya Allensworth, Amelia Allensworth, Troy Allensworth and Lucille Allensworth.
A private memorial for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her memory to the Native American Children’s Fund at nacfok.org
