Jane Favro

November 4, 1933 — February 1, 2024

Jane Elizabeth (Nelson) Favro 1933-2024

Jane was born November 4, 1933 to Harold and Evelyn Nelson. She was one of four children born to the couple. Shirley Nelson (Burdo)(Carter) was her beloved sister. She is survived by her two loving brothers Richard and Edward Nelson.

Jane married Philip "Muggsy" Favro and they had two beautiful children, Lorri and Lawrence Favro. Jane opened her heart and home to Catholic Charities. Over the years she fostered countless children. She poured her love into all and who entered their home. Over time, two very lucky children from Catholic Charities were blessed with a permanent home to Jane and Muggsy. Lanny was lovingly welcomed, then a few years later, Lisa.

Jane devoted her time to being a supportive mom. She watched and cheered from the sidelines at countless sporting events. She was the model mother. Jane always greeted her children with a smile and a hug. She was never too busy for her family. Mealtimes were always a family affair. Desserts were waiting for you when you walked in the door.

She will be missed and remembered for her calm, loving, and never-ending support.

A celebration of her life will be combined with reuniting her ashes with Muggsy and Lorri at St. James Church in Cadyville, NY in the spring.

The family would also like to thank the staff at Meadowbrook for their loving care and support.

Services were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh, NY.
