James N. Crowningshiled

James N Crowningshield,76 of Hazen Rd Jay NY passed away Thursday May 16th with his family by his side.
He was born August 8, 1942. The Son of Nathan and Mary (Call) Crowningshield. He married the love of his life Roxanne (VanValkenburg) on April 26,1968.
Jim was employed at Ward Lumber Company for 48 years. He loved what he did and took pride in his work.
He enjoyed his weekends and free time with his family. He would spend much of his time fishing and hunting when he wasn’t at the auction. His favorite past time and ho by though was working with wood making lawn ornaments and furniture. He was always busy doing something.
He loved his family very much and was always so excited to learn when a new arrival was expected.
His wife children, grandchildren, and great grand children brought him much joy.
Survivors include his wife Roxanne, Sons and daughter in laws Jim & Robin Crowningshield of Jay, Randy & Sue Crowningshield of AuSable Forks, and a daughter & her companion Brenda Russia & Max Drennan, a son in law James (Butch) Russia, Grandchildren Nathan & Cassandra (Booth) Crowningshield, Micheal Garcia, James A Crowningshield, Randy Crowningshield, Christy Crowningshield, And Julie Crowningshield. Joshua & his wife Baylee Crowningshield,Zachary, and Leon Crowningshield considered him their grampa after the loss of their own who was Jim’s Brother. He is also survived by great grandchildren, Brayden Garcia, Ava Wells, Emily Parker ,Lily Crowningshield, and (waiting for his arrival ) Declan Andrew Crowningshield. He has One living brother in law, Joe Bacon of Lake Placid. He had many children who considered him their grampa and great grampa and he loved them all.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Betty Bacon, his brother & sister in law Larry & Linda Crowningshield, sister & brother in law, Linda & Robert (Pat) VanValkenburg, and a Brother, Nelson Crowningshield.
Family & Friends welcomed to join for Celebration of Life gathering on Friday May 31, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Jay Volunteer Fire Department , 13029 State Route 9N Jay Ny 12941.
