Jack G. Garrow, 80 of Plattsburgh N.Y. passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at CVPH Medical Center. Jack was born December 17, 1936 in Plattsburgh N.Y.
He graduated from Mount Assumption Institute in 1954. After some time spent in the Army, Jack returned to Plattsburgh and was employed at Imperial Wallpaper as an electrician, retiring after almost 40 years of service. Over the years, Jack was a member of various veteran and social clubs. Jack enjoyed living out his retirement years at Beekman Towers with his many friends there. He will be remembered in many special ways but always he will be known as a good man.
Jack is predeceased by his first wife Ellen Dausch of New York City with whom he was married for 26 years and raised three children, Jeannie, Virginia, and Charles.
Jack is survived by his wife the former Eleanor Tomkiewicz, his two daughters, Jeannie Dorothy Snyder of Highland N.Y., Virginia Ellen Cardozo and her husband Robert of Richmond R.I., and one son Charles Howard Garrow and his wife Debbie of El Paso, TX; four grandchildren Alexa, Michael, Daniel and Pibby.
A celebration of life service will be held at the VFW Post 125 on Boynton Ave on Thursday October 5th from 2-4 p.m.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff on the 5th floor at CVPH and the wonderful team at Hospice of the North Country for all their care and comfort they provided to Jack and his family.
Friends may make any contributions in Jack's name to Hospice of the North Country.
