Jack Cross

January 29, 1942 — June 4, 2024

Jack L. Cross of Willsboro, passed away at home on June 4, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 29, 1942 to Donald Sr. and Marion Cross.

He was predeceased by his son George; his grandson Andrew; his parents; and his sisters Donna and Sherry.

He is survived by his loving wife Betty (Ahrent) of 56 years; his children John (Shantel) Cross, Victor Martin, Susan (Carl) McCray, and Lori (Harmon Jr.) Provost; along with his siblings Donald Jr., Joan Aubin, Betty Cross, and Sandy Oliver; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the U.S. Army for three years and the National Guard for three years. He worked for the D & H Railroad and CP Rail for a total of 33 years. He was also a member of the Willsboro Fire Department for 53 years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family camping at Silver Lake and hunting at the Trout Pond Trotters Hunting Camp.

There will be a Celebration of Jack's Life on June 22, 2024, at the Willsboro Fire Department for anyone who wishes to attend at 3:00 p.m.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Willsboro Fire Department, PO Box 332, Willsboro, NY, 12996; or to the Children's Memorial Healing Garden, PO Box 345, Willsboro, NY 12996.

Services were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home, 7521 Court St., Elizabethtown, NY 12932.
