On September 28th 1944, God sent us one of his angels, and on August 22nd 2015, He called him back home
George Robert Steele was one of two children born to George and Priscilla Steele. George and his brother Steve grew up in Plattsburgh New York. After graduating from high school George joined the Air Force to serve his country. He did a tour in Vietnam, and was an MP for a few years.
George was well known throughout the community and loved by many. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He was an avid bowler, a passion he shared with his father, and his brother Steve, and Steve’s wife Cathy, plus many more.
George had three children Diana, Robert, and Brian. He is now reunited with his parents and his daughter in heaven, to help watch over all of us.
George left behind seven grandchildren: Jerrika, Aradia, Crystal, Alex, Moira, Julia, and Kylie. He also had two nieces Tara and Stacy. All of the children meant the world to him, as well as all of his family did.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday September 14, 2015 at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh. Entombment will follow in the Whispering maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.
