George J. Light

George J. Light, 70, of Sandalwood Way and formerly of Glens Falls, passed away Monday June 2, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born on December 19, 1943 in Glens Falls to the late Anthony and Ida (Upton) Light.
George worked for Lakeside Container Company for 15 years before moving to Glens Falls and working for B.O.C.E.S. for over 20 years.
George is survived by three children; Michelle Raudenbush and her husband David of Plattsburgh, Jenny Gruby and her husband David of Plattsburgh, Christina Light and her companion Eric LaDue of Altona, four sisters; Joanne Dubuke of Plattsburgh, Linda Goucher and her husband Gerald of Keeseville, Donna Conlon and her husband Robert of South Glens Falls, Mary Elwood and her husband David of Carlton, one brother; John Light and his wife Cheryl of West Chazy, 10 grandchildren; Tyler and Chantelle Cayea, Jason, Corey, Zachary, Samantha and Jeramy Seymour, Jessica and Dylan Madison, Breydin and Dreydin LaDue. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. George is predeceased by sisters; Ida Nye, Virginia Wooding, Katherine Cadieux and brothers; Anthony Light, Jr., and Fred Light.
The family will receive guests Wednesday June 11, 2014 from 2-4 PM at St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4 PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
