George H Doxtater of Willsboro, born November 21,1922 in Herkimer, NY, passed away peacefully January 4, 2017.
George retired from the Town of Willsboro as a Mechanic. He also worked on several Power Projects throughout New York State and in Pakistan. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and fishing, especially ice fishing.
George was preceded by his parents Eli and Lora (Prowl) Doxtater, sisters, Betty Jane, Helen, Marion, wife Rosemond (Primmer) Doxtater, and companion Barbara Brothers, and sons, Michael and Robert, and one grandson Donnie Doxtater.
He was survived by one brother, Eli (Fran) Doxtater of S. Daytona Beach Florida, Children, George (Ruth) Doxtater of St. Johnsville NY, Joanne L. Mason of Willsboro, NY, Donald Doxtater of Ilion, NY, and Helen (Dennis) DeMars of Herkimer, NY. Including 16 grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Monday, January 9th, 11am to 1pm at the Heald's Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, NY. Graveside service in the spring the Memorial Cemetery in Willsboro.
