Freida M. LaMar

CADYVILLE, N.Y. Freida M. LaMar, 91, passed away Thursday November 20, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh, October 13, 1923, to Henry and Violet (Brooks) Stewart.
She is survived by a large family; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Ella and Dr. George Boolukos, Phyllis and Allen Helson, Mary Delisle and Bill Eaton, Sandra O'Neill and Bob LaWare, Susan and David Baker; and one son and his companion, Paul LaMar and Megan Whipple; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Freida was predeceased by her parents; a son-in-law, Jean (Skip) Delisle; and a special great-granddaughter, Victoria (Tori) O'Neill, one brother Robert Stewart, one sister Marie Norcross and a sister in law Rena Seymour.
She graduated from Lyon Mountain High School. Frieda worked for the Post Office in Dannemora for 25 years. Freida was a house wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to everyone. She was known for her homemade pies, homemade bread and a hot meal for anyone stopping by. A perfect day for Frieda was having her family around.
Calling hours will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM Saturday November 22, 2014 at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM from St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
