Frederick Feldbauer, 69, of Westport, NY passed away suddenly at his home on May 2, 2022. Fred was born on January 22, 1953 in Elizabeth, NJ, son of George and Irene Feldbauer of Cranford, NJ.
Fred was known as a kind man with a wicked sense of humor and the ability to spin tales of his exploits that had everyone laughing. He bravely battled several health issues over the past few years with an unrelenting optimism and determination to “get back on the boat.” Fred and his wife of 35 years, Pat Troyan, were partners in every way, often found working together on restoring old boats, filming documentaries, tending the tomatoes, or making maple syrup in the driveway of their Westport home. After many years of living in New Rochelle, NY, Fred and Pat were fortunate to move to the wonderful community of Westport, where they counted their blessings every day.
Besides his wife Pat, Fred is survived by his sister Mary Jansen and husband James, brother George Feldbauer and wife Irene, sister Elizabeth Feldbauer, Goddaughter and niece Christine Snyder and husband Brice, nephew Lucas Jansen and wife Becky with grandnephews Wallace and Frankie, as well as many cousins, friends, and colleagues spread far and wide.
