West Chazy Mrs. Fern Mae Parrott, 94, of the LaPlante Road in West Chazy, passed away Friday June 14, 2013 in Plattsburgh. She was born August 14, 1918 daughter of the late Cassius and Eliza (Farr) Coakley. Fern attended and graduated from Mooers Central School. She married Glenn Elwin Parrott of Chazy on December 31, 1940. They lived in Mooers until 1989, moving to West Chazy. Fern is survived by her son Gary G. Parrott and his wife Marilyn of West Chazy, three grandchildren; Lori Beth Lafave and her husband of Steven Murphy of Falls Church, VA., Tanya Rene Parrott of Manassas, VA., Leslie Dawn Parrott of Vienna, VA., four great grandchildren; Dedrie Ramsey and her husband Ryan, Eugene Murphy, Cian Murphy and Ceara Murphy, two great great grandchildren; Colten Murphey and Erin Ramsey, a special niece Miss Marcia LaPlante of Montpelier, VT., two sisters in law Bertha Parrott of Plattsburgh and Marion Runge of Florida. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband who passed away August 23, 1992 and her sister Betty LaPlante. Calling hours will be Friday June 21, 2013 from 11:00 Am to 1:00 PM at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh. A funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Heald Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens, Route 11, Ellenburg Depot.
