Faye Ellen Sullivan, 78, of RT. 9 in Lewis, passed away unexpectedly, at Elizabethtown Community Hospital, surrounded by her three children. She was born in Chesterfield to the late Roosevelt and Edith (Pulsifer) Kilburn.
Faye was a woman who did it all, including loving her first plane ride at the age of 75! She loved to sit at the family camp on Lincoln Pond and have cookouts with family and friends, all while laughing with the children running around, and enjoying the company of many people that stopped by. She frequently took car rides with her late husband, exploring the Adirondacks and taking in the beautiful scenery. They loved to try out the various restaurants in the area, making sure to stop at all the new places. She insisted on making sure everyone was welcome in her home, was well fed, and sat down to relax and have a drink, or two! Faye was a lover of animals and held her many dogs (and the family dogs) near and dear to her heart.
Faye is survived by her three children Brenda Sullivan and Arthur Feller of Lewis, Dawn and John Vadney of Selkirk, and Rudy Sullivan and Tracy Cross of Lewis, her six grandchildren, Alyssa Sullivan, Erika Ritter, Jessica Lopin, Joshua Vadney, Victoria Vadney, and Joe Sullivan (Tabatha Finnegan), her brother Zeb and Althea Kilburn, brother Phil and Linda Kilburn, sister Anne Mihal, and sister-in-law Margaret Kilburn, her special adopted son John and Stacy Goodroe, and her loving bonus children James and Barb Mitchell, and Tracy Lee and Sharon Skotarczak. Faye is predeceased by her parents, many brothers and sisters that she adored, and her wonderful husband of 60 years, Rudolph “Rudy” Sullivan, whom she missed dearly.
There will be a graveside service 11:00 AM, Saturday March 12th, 2022 at the Deer’s Head Cemetery in Lewis.
Donations in Faye’s memory may be made to the North Country Cancer Fund and the North Country SPCA.
